Bristol, Pennsylvania

Injured workers who reside in Lower Bucks County, including areas like Levittown, Langhorne and Bensalem, have their workers' compensation hearings at the Bristol Workers' Compensation Hearing Office, located on New Rodgers Road, just South of the I-95 interchange. This office has three Workers' Compensation Judges, Judge Michael Rosen, Judge Robert Benischeck and Judge Joseph McManus.

Though most counties in Pennsylvania hold all of the hearings for residents of that county in one central location, Bucks County is one of the few with multiple hearing offices. Residents of Central and Upper Bucks County have their workers' compensation hearings conducted at the Bucks County Courthouse, in Doylestown. Workers' Compensation Judge Bruce Doman sits in this location.

Bristol, Pennsylvania has a long and rich history. First incorporated in 1720, Bristol is one of the oldest boroughs in PA. The city is located on the Delaware River, opposite Burlington, NJ, approximately 23 miles northeast of Philadelphia. Around 10,000 people call Bristol home.

The city is, of course, known for more than just "The Bristol Stomp," a song which hit number two on the Billboard charts in 1961 (and is still frequently played at ceremonies and parades). The area has an extensive history also for manufacturing and industry. Rohm & Haas (now part of Dow Chemical) employs approximately 250 people at its Bristol plant. Over the years, United States Steel was a major employer in the area (in nearby Fairless Hills). 3M and Thiokol have also operated plants in the area.

Lower Bucks Hospital is located in Bristol, and there are other medical centers nearby, such as St Mary Medical Center and Aria Health Bucks County (formerly known as Delaware Valley Medical Center), both in Langhorne. That medicine is being taken seriously in Bucks County these days can be seen from the recent migration of the well-known Philadelphia practice of 3B Orthopaedics (formerly known as Booth Bartolozzi Balderston Orthopaedics) to Aria Health Bucks County from Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.

Brilliant & Neiman LLC is based in Lower Bucks County, in the Trevose/Feasterville area, so we understand the needs of our community. Like you, we only want the best for our region. Part of that is wanting the citizens of Bristol to have their rights protected when they suffer an injury at work.

While injured workers cannot receive compensation for the pain and suffering that goes along with a workers' compensation case (unless a party other than the employer causes the injury), we pledge to get our clients, in Bristol and throughout Lower Bucks County, all of the benefits to which they are entitled. We believe injured workers have already lost enough, and deserve someone in their corner to protect their receipt of benefits from the shameful tactics of the insurance companies.

Appearing before the Workers' Compensation Judges in Bristol on a regular basis, the attorneys at Brilliant & Neiman LLC are familiar with these Judges, and their procedures. Devoting our practice to only representing folks who are hurt at work gives us a greater exposure to the PA workers' compensation system than, say, a general practice firm which handles all kinds of legal matters. We have relationships with many attorneys in the Bristol area, who handle other legal matters, so we make sure our clients receive proper legal care for cases other than workers' compensation. Though our firm does not handle Social Security Disability, car accidents, family law or employment law, we know area attorneys who practice extensively in these, and other, legal areas.
